EU offers Belarus to partake in four education programmes
MINSK, 8 February (BelTA) – The European Union invites Belarus to develop cooperation in education, representative of the European Commission’s Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (Brussels) Giulia Moro said during a roundtable, Education Policy of the EU and Belarus: Sharing Experience, on 6 February. In 2010 Belarus, Ukraine set to reach pre-crisis level of trade
KYIV, 5 February (BelTA) – In 2010 Belarus and Ukraine are set to reach the pre-crisis level of trade turnover, which stood at $5 billion, BelTA learnt form Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Ukraine Valentin Velichko. For the past several years trade and economic cooperation between the two countries has been vibrant. Starting from 2003 the trade increased several times reaching almost $5 billion in 2008. >>>

MINSK, 4 February (BelTA) – Belarus is always ready for a civilized dialogue with European institutions, said Chairman of the Permanent Commission for Regional Policy and Local Governance of the Council of the Republic Gennady Novitsky as he met with Director of the Council of Europe’s Directorate of Democratic Institutions Childerik Schaapveld on 4 February. Victory relay race takes start in Belarus
MINSK, 2 February (BelTA) – The international Victory relay race took its start in Grodno, at the memorial ensemble of the soldiers of the Belarusian frontier district killed during the first days of the Great Patriotic War, on 2 February, BelTA learnt from the press service of the State Border Committee of Belarus. The decision to hold the event timed to the 65th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War was taken by the CIS Council of the Commanders of the Border Services. >>>
Grodnoenergo, Czech Export Bank sign loan contract to construct Grodno hydropower plant
MINSK, 22 January (BelTA) – The Grodnoenergo company and the Czech Export Bank has signed a credit agreement to construct the Grodno hydropower plant, Deputy Energy Minister of Belarus Mikhail Mikhadyuk said during the online conference on the BelTA website on 22 January. The contract became another step to implement the agreements reached by the Belarusian and Czech sides to construct the hydropower plant. >>>
