Belarus’ economy stabilized
MINSK, 17 May (BelTA) - The situation in the economy and finance in Belarus has stabilized, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said as he met with Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich to receive his report, BelTA learnt from the press service of the head of state. “First of all, I would like to hear from the Government (we already discussed the matter with the Chairman of the Board of the National Bank) how the issues that are of concern to the population are being resolved. >>>
Nato delegation arrives in Belarus
MINSK, 14 May (BelTA) – A Nato delegation has arrived in Belarus for a three-day visit on 14 May, BelTA learnt from the Defense Ministry. The delegation includes representatives of the Nato Secretariat, Allied Command Operations and Allied Command Transformation, military attaches of the Nato member states accredited by the Defense Ministry of Belarus. The delegation will review current results and plans to implement the 2010 Partnership Goals and will also discuss a draft package of 2012 Partnership Goals. >>>

Construction of new plant at Grodno Azot to start in 2013
MINSK, 16 May (BelTA) – The construction of a new plant at Grodno Azot will be launched in 2013, First Deputy Premier of Belarus Vladimir Semashko told reporters on 16 May, BelTA has learnt. Vladimir Semashko noted that at present many foreign investors are showing interest in Grodno Azot. “There are many people who would like to participate; many options are on the table. Negotiations are underway, but no decision has been made yet,” he said. >>>
