GRODNO, 29 July (BelTA) – Five new residents have been registered in the free economic zone Grodnoinvest this year, BelTA learned from Deputy Head of the FEZ Administration Alexander Ponomarev.
Among the newcomers is the FerrumMontazh Company that produces power efficient engineering systems and constructions. The Konus state-run company under the NASB scientific center of agricultural mechanization is involved in the design works of an HD galvanizing plant in the free economic zone. The private company Beltelinvest has been implementing an innovation project on the manufacture of industrial artificial cooling units. The Belarusian-Finnish BelKomin company (smoke exhaust systems, boilers) and the Belarusian company Euro-BelUnion (high-tech metalware and equipment) were registered as FEZ residents in June. Investments in every project will make up at least €1 million.
According to Alexander Ponomarev, the initial plans were to register six new FEZ residents in 2010. There are already five of them. The negotiations are held with several more investors.
Today the FEZ Grodnoinvest has 50 companies-residents.
