GRODNO, 7 July (BelTA) – An international summer school for young scientists-economists has opened in the Yanka Kupala State University in Grodno, BelTA learned from the mass communications center of the university.
The SCIENNOMIS 2010 International Summer School will operate at the economy and management department of the Grodno university on 6-10 July. Attending the school are leading domestic and foreign specialists in econometrics and more than 30 young professors, students, candidates for a master's degree and postgraduate students from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine and Poland. The young scientists will attend lectures, take part in seminars and roundtables to discuss econometric analysis, model building and forecasting. The lectures will be given by scientists of the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, Moscow University and Belarus State University, the Research Economy Institute of the Belarus Economy Ministry.
The Grodno university hosted the first international summer school for young scientists-economists in 2007. It was the social project proposed by a participant of the university contest, the Student of the Year.
