GRODNO, 10 June (BelTA) – Participants of the international media forum “Partnership for the Future” began their tour around the Grodno Oblast by visiting the agro-town Vasilishki, BelTA learnt from the ideology department of the Grodno oblast executive committee.
As part of the 5th Belarus international media forum “Partnership for the Future”, Belarus welcomed camera crews of the TV channels and journalists of the printed mass media of Russia, Latvia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
On 9 June mass media professionals visited the agro-town and the company Vasilishki, Shchuchin Region. The guests saw the local dairy farm, a childcare center, a secondary school, a recreation center and also got familiar with the everyday life amenities that rural homes of the agrotown offer to young professionals.
On 9 June as part of the itinerary the reporters got familiar with places of interest of Grodno and visit the oblast perinatal center. In the evening the farm tourism center Garadzensky Mayontak staged a performance by folk musicians and the musical theater Rada.
On the second day of the visit the reporters will get familiar with successful enterprises of the oblast, in particular, Grodnokhleboprodukt and Grodno Khimvolokno. They are supposed to meet with a dynasty of Grodno chemists. There are plans to visit the central sports complex Neman and to talk to Grodno sportsmen. Participants of the international media forum will get familiar with the manufacturing and social aspects of the construction and furniture company Zov, will talk to young professionals of the company. A meeting with Grodno Oblast Governor Semyon Shapiro is on schedule.
BelTA reported earlier that the 5th Belarusian international media forum will take place on 8-11 June. Attending it are around 100 foreign reporters. The project “Modern Belarus: an Outsider’s View” will be accomplished as part of the forum.
